iTunes 10.5 Beta 6.1: iTunes Match beta is available

The new service from Apple iTunes Match , in addition to the online storage service icloud, was born in a first beta today with iTunes 10.5 Beta  6.1  . The service, as the software is restricted to U.S. developers at the moment but will be universal to the world at its final output.

iTunes Match , Kesako? This service allows you to store your entire collection, including music from CDs or purchased elsewhere than on the iTunes. Apple plays late on this one, puisqu'iTunes determines which pieces of your collection is available on the iTunes Store. All music on iTunes with a match is automatically added to your library icloud, so you can listen anytime on any device. But do not worry, as the iTunes Store offers more than 18 million pieces, chances are that most of your music is already on icloud. The only songs you'll download will be those that iTunes will not recognize. What is still much faster than starting from scratch. And all the music is broadcast again as iTunes iTunes Plus at 256 kbit / s, even if your original was of inferior quality.

Remember, iTunes Match  will be priced at $ 25 / year, or less expensive than competitors Google and Amazon.
