A6 processor already in pilot production at TSMC

The iPhone 5 will probably have the A5 processor that we already know the iPad 2 , so read the rumors . But while we await the unveiling of the next generation of iPhones, the Taiwanese manufacturer TSMC has already started to produce the next generation of mobile chips, the A6. Apple shares thus a blow to Samsung, which produces the A5.

This can be read in a message from news agency Reuters . It remains to be seen whether Apple A6 chips actually use. The production is on a trial basis, so they can see if TSMC is the right party to work with. The production of the A5 is with Samsung, but Apple is busy contacting various manufacturers in Asia. The patent battle with Samsung probably plays too.
"Whether Apple makes an official order depends on the number of chips produced", says one source told Reuters. For the manufacturer, it is wait and see.
