Absinthe 2.0 Jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1 is Avaialblable

As promised, Pod2G released the untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1.1. The Chronic Dev Team makes available the new version of its Absinthe tool that allows to jailbreak, so Untethered, devices iOS 5.1.1. The arrival of a solution of the jailbreak Untethered  iOS 5.1.1 devices, the latter has just been made ​​available for download, following its announcement at the conference Hack In The Box, which ends today in Amsterdam.

To jailbreak, your device iOS 5.1.1, you will need to use the new version "2.0" Absinthe tool devised by the team of hackers Chronic Dev Team.
The solution is compatible with the following devices: iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, iPhone 4 CDMA, 4S iPhone, iPad 1, iPad 2 Wifi GSM and CDMA iPad 3 Wifi, GSM and CDMA, 3G iPod, 4G iPod.
 To be able to jailbreak your iDevice, your need simply to have patience to follow the steps below to the letter:
  • Absinthe 2.0 download on the official website.
  • Back up your iDevice on iTunes.
  • Turn on your iDevice and reset completely. (*)
  • Once this is completed, make sure it is properly connected to your PC.
  • Start Absinthe 2.0, run the file that goes.
  • Click the "Jailbreak" and wait until the procedure ends.
  • Once this is complete, return on iTunes.
  • Right click on your iDevice in the left column.
  • Select "Restore from Backup".
  • Select your last backup.
  • Wait!

How to jailbreak your device iOS 5.1.1?
1. Make a backup of your device on iTunes by right-clicking the device name in the menu "Devices" and click "Save".
2. Once your backup is complete. Go to the settings of your device via Settings / General / Reset and then delete the entire contents of your device. According to the Chronicle Dev Team, this procedure will make the jailbreak process much faster. If you wish, you can restore your device!
3. Absinthe launch the tool while checking that your device is always connected to your computer.
4. Simply click "Jailbreak" and wait a while.
5. Once the jailbreak is complete, go back to iTunes and restore your backup to recover all your data.To get there, go to menu "Device" located in the left column in iTunes, right click and click "Restore from your backup." You should be able to find your device as before but with the advantage that it is jailbroken.
